Phillips Workplace Interiors Talent Thursday- Alex Castillo

We’re bringing Talent Thursday’s back! Every Thursday we’ll share some fun facts about our team members. To kick it off we’d like to introduce Alex Castillo! If you stand outside our front doors at Phillips Workplace Interiors and look left you can usually spot Alex checking over drawings in his favorite conference room filled with http://www.steelcase.com furniture.

What do you do for Phillips Workplace Interiors?

Project Manager

Favorite project you’ve ever worked on and why?

PHFA – it was my first large project (+/- 5M) I was the designer & project manager. The project was a blank canvas with no limit on the budget. I designed a special product that later became a standard product for Kimball. Kimball did and published a case study for the project for the design, also because the project reached a Gold Leed certification.

Who inspires you?

My Mom, she was a single mom that put herself through college at night, while working a full-time job. She started at the bottom of the agency that she will eventually run.

If you could be in the movie of your choice, what movie would you choose and what character would you play?

Well, I have always been a Superman fan, My movie would be Man of Steel, and the character would be Kal-El. Mainly because Kale-El (Superman) always wants to help even the people that hate him. I feel his character brings the best in people.

And lastly, you’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

I am into comics, so my color would be Green, from the Green Lantern Corp, it represents “will power”. Will Power is what keeps us going.
